從6歲開始接觸網球，並於2013年以17歲的年齡奪得中國網球大獎賽女單冠軍及全國網球單項錦標賽冠軍。同年11月，她的世界排名首次進入TOP300。在2013年的WTA賽事中，她驚豔四座，首輪爆冷擊敗正在鄭潔身上的選手，成功連過三關，當時排名約為270位。
2016年，她晉級WTA馬來西亞公開賽的資格賽決賽，而在2018年WTA天津賽中，她成功晉級女單第二輪。
2021年，劉奪得中國巡迴賽常州站女單冠軍。2022年，她在ITF沙姆沙伊赫站及莫納斯提爾站贏得單打冠軍，並在中國巡迴賽職業級總決賽澳門站奪得女單冠軍。2023年，她在貴陽公開賽中獲得女單亞軍，而2024年則連續在ITF天津站和奈曼站獲得單打亞軍。
2025年，劉將搭檔尼瑪卓瑪及蕭正花，共同奪得中國巡迴賽湖州站和臨汾站的女雙冠軍，並在職業級總決賽中第三次奪得女單冠軍。

Liu Fangzhou

Liu began playing tennis at age 6 and, at 17 in 2013, won the women's singles title at the China Tennis Grand Prix and the National Tennis Championships. That November, she entered the top 300 for the first time. In WTA events that year, she made waves by upsetting a player ranked above Zheng Jie in the first round and advancing through three matches, at the time ranked around No. 270.
In 2016, she reached the qualifying final at the WTA Malaysia Open. In 2018, she advanced to the second round of women's singles at the WTA Tianjin Open.
In 2021, Liu won the women's singles title at the China Tennis Tour Changzhou station. In 2022, she captured singles titles at the ITF Sharm El Sheikh and Monastir events, plus the women's singles at the China Tennis Tour Professional Finals Macau station. In 2023, she was the women's singles runner-up at the Guiyang Open; in 2024, she finished as singles runner-up at the ITF Tianjin and Naiman stations.
In 2025, Liu partnered with Nima Zhuoma and Xiao Zhenghua to win the women's doubles titles at the China Tennis Tour Huzhou and Linfen stations, and she claimed her third women's singles title at the Professional Finals.
